The issue of baby food and food has always been the focus of our country. In June this year, the first safety technical specification for infant and child textile products will be implemented, and baby textiles will be guaranteed.

Thousands of miles of sea, superstition, "foreign goods"?

Domestic consumers

It is felt that the performance of foreign goods is good, and cross sea fishing is becoming more and more popular. However, the white paper, which was released by the AQSIQ in April 2015, "the quality situation of the import and export of clothing products in 2014" in China, is a big surprise: among the imported clothing products sampled at the port, the highest rate of disqualification is for infants and children's clothing products, with an unqualified rate of 36%.

The demand for imported infants and children's clothing products has increased year by year. At the same time, the quality of imported children's clothing is not optimistic.

These quality problems include formaldehyde and azo content which the ordinary consumers can't discriminate with the naked eye.

For example, "banned azo dyes", it has a stimulating effect on mucous membrane, respiratory tract and skin, can cause eczema, and so on. Skin absorption may cause poisoning. Poisoning is characterized by bronchitis, tracheitis, wheezing, and so on, which may cause cancer.

Against this background, China has formulated the first national mandatory standard GB 31701-2015 for children's clothing and school uniforms.

In contrast, the new standard is specifically targeted at infants and children's textile products sold in our country, and the object of application is more specific and clearer.

Security is mandatory.

It is understood that the standard for infants and children's textile design,

Physical and chemical safety

We have made more detailed regulations, including the first requirement of safety technology requirements and accessories for children's clothing (buttons, zippers, ropes, etc.).

The new standard has three distinct characteristics: first, to further standardize the safety technical requirements.

For example, in the aspect of mechanical safety, it is requested that no rope should be allowed in the head and neck of infants and children under 7 years of age. Textile accessories (such as buttons, zippers, etc.) require attachments to have certain tensile strength, and should not have sharp edges and sharp edges. In terms of chemical safety, 6 new plasticizers and 2 kinds of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium are added, and the combustion performance requirements are also increased.

Two, the requirements are fully in line with international standards.

As the first mandatory standard specifically for baby textile products in China, it fully absorbs and draws on the technical regulations and requirements of developed countries concerning the safety of baby textile products, and its severity has been equal to or even surpassed that of developed countries.

The three is the scope of application specifically for baby products.

Before the implementation of the new standard, the main applicable standard of China's textile products is the national basic safety technical specification for textile products (GB18401-2010), which is applicable to adult, infant and child textile products.

"It can be predicted that with the first infant and

Textile for children

The implementation of national standards of products will help guide production enterprises to improve the safety and quality of children's clothing, improve the quality and safety threshold of imported children's clothing, and further protect the health and safety of infants and children in China.

Children wear industry insiders said.

In this regard, Quanzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminded the relevant import and export enterprises: first, children's clothing production enterprises should grasp the new standard requirements in advance, do well in coping with the work ahead, and control the key links of clothing design, raw materials purchasing, printing and dyeing, etc., and must meet the new standard requirements. Two, children's clothing importers or distributors should communicate with foreign production enterprises in good time to ensure the quality of products, so as to avoid being forced to rectify, return or destroy the quality of imported products after the implementation of the new standard, resulting in unnecessary losses.
